Chris has been riding a set of White Industries hubs and Pacenti SL23 rims I built him for a little over two years now.  The front wheel has over 30,000 miles on it now, but the rear has been rebuild once before due to cracks forming at the spoke holes, and now the 2nd rim was showing cracks as well.  Despite the cracking issues, Chris LOVES the way the wheels ride and didn’t want a big change, so we rebuilt the wheels with the SL23’s replacement, the Forza.  The Forza has similar dimensions (depth and widths) to the SL23, but it’s a bit heavier with a thicker spoke bed to prevent the cracking issues, and it has a taller brake track for easier brake set up.  There is also an offset spoke bed option for use on rear wheels – the offset spoke bed raises the spoke tension on the low-tension side of the wheel.  Chris will be riding these in another Cent Cols Challenge this summer – have a great ride Chris!
