Here’s your chance to get a deal on a custom set of wheels designed and built just for you while also helping to get more kids on bikes! I’m really excited to be joining up with the Georgia Interscholastic Cycling League (aka the GA High School MTB League) as one of the sponsors for their upcoming event Crankin’ For The Kids, which is their big fundraiser this year. In addition to donating some money directly to the organization I’m also donating a set of custom wheels that are being auctioned off.
ONE OFF HUBS
The wheels being auctioned off will be built around a custom set of Bitex hubs featuring both the Georgia Interscholastic Cycling League & Southern Wheelworks laser engraved logos – this is a one-off set of hubs! The hubs themselves are light weight, well made, have fast engagement, and can be set up to fit almost any MTB. QR or thru-axles, standard freehub body or SRAM XD driver. They will not fit Boost axle spacing frames or forks however.
BUILT JUST FOR YOU
The wheels will be built with a set of high quality alloy rims from either Stan’s NoTubes or WTB. The exact rims, spokes, and nipples will be chosen to best fit the winner of the auction. The winner will get to choose the colors for the spokes and nipples, as well as any accent colored spokes.
GET IN ON THE ACTION
You can bid on the wheels right here, and be sure and browse the entire auction here to see what else is available. Remember – all of the proceeds go to the GA High School MTB League to help get more kids on bikes!
Also, be sure and say hi if you’re at the race! I’ll be “racing” (participating is a better word really) in the 6hr solo on my black Vassago Jabberwocky.
