Bill uses his Soma for rides that aren’t quite right for either his road bike or his MTB.  There may be plenty of road, but he likes venturing off the pavement to explore too.  He was using a pair of light 29er wheels, and wanted something more suited to the task.  The Hope Pro 4 hubs are extremely versatile, with fast engagement for when things get technical, but 11spd road compatible so you can put them on a disc brake roadie too.  The Pacenti SL25 rims are wide, stiff, and tubeless ready, and available in lots of drilling options.  We did a 24 spoke front and 28 spoke rear build, and used Sapim’s light weight double butted round spoke, the Laser.  Alloy nipples hold it all together.
