This set of wheels was a Valentines day gift for Kevin’s wife!  Kevin bought a set of wheels from me a while back, and he knew his lady deserved a set as well, so here we are.  She’s a light weight rider, so we wanted to keep wheelset weight to a minimum, and she likes a quiet bike, so we wanted to avoid noisy hubs.  Here’s the result!  The Stan’s Crest rims are very light alloy rims, and the American Classic hubs are both super light and very quiet when coasting.  Their freehub mechanism is also super low drag, making the hubs really fast rolling.  Wheelsmith DB14 spokes balance weight and stiffness, and the white rims and white spokes at the valve will look awesome on her bike.

The American Classic hubs have large flange diameters, but big cut outs keep weight down making them one of the lightest hubsets available.

The white rims and spokes are a really cool and unique look.

The American Classic freehub body is aluminum to keep weight and cost down, but has several steel inserts to prevent cassette cogs from gouging the freehub.
