Vladimir was looking for a set of light weight wheels for XC and endurance racing.  He wanted to keep weight down, but didn’t want to give up too much stiffness either since his local trails can be somewhat technical.  The Industry Nine Torch Classic hubs are light, roll very well, are made in Asheville, NC, and have super fast engagement with 120 points.  The Nox Skyline rims are very light at only 340g for the 29er size, yet still fairly wide with a 23mm inner width, and Nox’s signature offset spoke bed.  Despite the low weight, they’re still plenty stiff for Vladimir’s use.  We used 28 spokes on the front, 32 on the rear.  The decals are an optional ‘stealth’ version only available on the Skyline rims.
